Renewable Materials Conference

04/12/2021

18-20 May 2021, online

From 18-20 May 2021, nova-Institute is holding a new form of conference aimed at bringing together all relevant sectors for renewable materials. The research institute aims to address the growing market demand for advanced and ready-to-use sustainable, non-fossil material solutions with low CO2 emissions. This time the event, which is expected to attract 300 to 400 participants, will be held exclusively online.

The aim of the conference is to provide participants with numerous cross-sector networking opportunities over the course of the three days and to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest solutions for renewable raw materials.

The range of topics is correspondingly broad: from bio-based materials, such as bio-based polymers and plastics, as well as biocomposites, to CO2-based materials and mechanically and chemically recycled materials. In order to accommodate such a wide array of aspects, the conference is divided into topic days. The first day will focus on renewable chemicals and building blocks from bio-refineries, CCU and chemical recycling, followed by renewable polymers and plastics from biomass, CO2 and recycling. The final day will look at renewable plastics and composites, packaging and biodegradation.

The declared aim of nova-Institute’s (research) activities is to usher in the era of renewable carbon and thus hasten an end to the era of fossil-based chemicals and plastics. Against this backdrop, the conference wants to help shape the sustainable future of chemicals and materials.

Further information on the conference is available on the event website: http://renewable-materials.eu/
