Like many events at the beginning of this year, the German Packaging Congress will be taking place online. Even in its virtual form, however, it still regards itself as the summit meeting of the packaging value chain and aims to provide participants with key insights and vital information with excellent speakers from the industry and beyond.

The digital congress will be divided into keynote speeches, workshops and panel discussions on the topic of packaging. The main theme of the event is sustainability, and in particular the global importance of the circular economy and the role of packaging. Experts from the world of business and NGOs will be presenting different ways to achieve more sustainability, as well as examining political and technical approaches, and working through the challenges of recycling and recyclates. The latter will be put into the context of the materials used: from plastic, to metal and glass, to paper composites. In addition to these lectures, there will also be practical examples and a reference to the Generation Z and the future of B2B customer contact.
