Nova-Institute hosting Renewable Materials Conference

10 to 12 May 2022, Cologne/online

For the second time, Cologne-based nova-Institute is hosting its Renewable Materials Conference – both on-site in the cathedral city and online. The event will showcase market highlights from bio- and CO2-based chemicals and materials, as well as from chemical recycling. All material solutions are based on renewable carbon. The nova-Institute assumes that these offer sufficient potential to completely replace petrochemicals by 2050, thus combating climate change. Over the three event days, participants will get a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in the renewable material sector, with a focus on industry-ready solutions from a wide spectrum of sustainable raw materials and technologies. After all, ready-to-use, fossil-free, sustainable material solutions with a low carbon footprint are in fast-growing demand.

Once again, the conference will be hosting an innovation award for renewable materials. Producers and inventors of innovative technologies and applications based on biomass, CO2 or advanced recycling were invited to submit their innovation by mid-March. On the second event day, the six applicants nominated by the jury will have the opportunity to give a brief presentation of their projects. The final decision will be made by the conference participants, who can vote online for their favourites on the second conference day.

Further information on the conference and a brief description of the six nominated submissions can be found here:
